Paul Stradner is Gault & Millau “newcomer of the year 2016” 
The Gault Millau speaks in high terms of the Brenners Park-Restaurant head chef, praising his fancy approach to traditional flavours without being trendy.

Paul Stradner, Head Chef of Brenners Park-Restaurant, is one of the youngest two-starred chefs in Germany.

Brenners Park-Restaurant is now in Germany’s Top 49 and occupies first place in the Baden-Baden area. The additional star further strengthens the state of Baden-Württemberg’s claim as being a gourmets’ paradise.

The menu is a modern interpretation of gourmet classics, with memories of the Austrian dishes Stradner discovered in his mother’s kitchen. The young chef explores concepts from all around the world and brilliantly executes many innovative culinary techniques. Stradner is also at the vanguard of vegetarian cuisine presenting a five course menu for gourmands.

Paul Stradner admits that he has learnt from the best: from Harald Wohlfahrt, the three-Michelin-star chef from the famous Schwarzwaldstube in Baiersbronn, Germany, and from Jean Georges Klein, also a three-star chef at the L'Arnsbourg in Baerenthal, France, where Stradner, until his recent move to Brenners, was employed as sous-chef.
