FAQs
Which homepages are covered by this data protection
statement?
This data protection statement applies to users of the homepage
provided by the Brenner's Park-Hotel & Spa GmbH, Baden-Baden
(subsequently named "Brenner's homepage"). This data protection
statement does not apply to the homepages of other providers, which
are accessible from the Brenner's homepage via a link.
What is personal data?
Personal data is personal or factual details about a specific
individual or a determinable natural person. This can be, for
instance, your name, your address, your bank account number,
identity card/passport number, or telephone number, your vehicle
registration plate, your e-mail address and your IP number.
Non personal data is, on the other hand, data with which it is
impossible to determine your true identity. Information such as
your gender, which browser you use or your preferred choice of car
are examples of such.
Do I remain anonymous when using the Brenner's
homepage?
Yes. When using the Brenner's homepage you will remain anonymous
as long as no personal data is voluntarily provided to us by
yourself. The only exception to this principle is the temporary
automatic collection and storage of your IP number. More
information on this topic can be found below.
Is personal data automatically collected and
processed?
Yes. We automatically collect information relating to which IP
number your computer has, which browser and operating system you
use and which pages you have looked at, for each of your visits to
our homepage. This data is stored in so-called log files on the web
server. Here, only the IP number constitutes as being a piece of
personal data. To protect our computer system against misuse, it is
necessary for us to temporarily store the IP number of every single
visitor.
Under what conditions is personal data otherwise
collected, processed and utilized?
Apart from the above, we only collect, process and utilize
personal data when it has been voluntarily provided to us by
yourself, when it is legally permitted and when you have given us
your consent. Under normal circumstances this occurs after you have
entered into an online contract with us, or you have made an
enquiry (newsletter or e-mails).
For what purpose is personal data collected, processed or
utilized?
The personal data which you provide us with is only used for the
indicated or agreed purposes. So, for instance, for processing the
contact that you entered into or for answering your enquiry.
Is personal data used for advertising or market research
purposes?
Without your consent, no. In order to maintain our customer
relationship with you, it is sometimes in our interest to use your
personal data for advertising, market research or other such
purposes. This is, however, conveyed to you beforehand, in order to
ask for your express consent.
Can I withdraw my consent?
Yes. You can revoke your consent to allowing your personal data to
be used for a previously agreed purpose at any time. Please contact
us at the email address listed below.

design our homepage to best suit your needs and wishes. A cookie
comprises of technical data, but no personal data such as email
addresses or postal addresses. Personal data will only be carried
with your express understanding, for example, when you fill out a

Can I have my personal data changed or when will my data
be deleted?

the right to prohibit the use of the data.
Does this data protection declaration change from time to
time?
The rapid technological development of the internet and the
changes to the data protection legislation means that it is
necessary for us to alter our data protection declaration from time
to time to accommodate such changes. The latest data protection
