Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa debuts new suites

05-18-2011

Under the leadership of interior designer Countess Bergit Douglas Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa has debuted four new suites. These new accommodations, combining classic architecture and European décor with contemporary touches, maintain the history and grandiosity of the property while offering the modern, luxurious amenities that appeal to today’s travelers.

The spacious new one-bedroom suites with large windows allow for abundant daylight from the west and south.  Each generously proportioned suite has been richly appointed to preserve the values of European home décor.  Incorporating Countess Douglas’ passion for travel, the suites feature sophisticated furniture and fixtures from France and England, as well as in one case Indian Colonial stitching on sofa, ottoman and bedroom fabrics.  The design emphasizes strong colors such as red and green, as well as contrasting materials including linen and silk.

“I would classify my style as ‘classic with pep,’” said Countess Douglas.  “The goal is to bring a sense of living in comfort with style, bound by tradition but with modern elements.  Just like an elegant private house, the suites will mix old with new, putting a modern spin on the historic hotel.”

Reflecting Countess Douglas’ mix of the classic and modern are features such as a small international library and modern bar made of red glass.  Modern technology has also been integrated throughout the suites, including LED flat screen TV, Bose entertainment center with I-Pod docking station, a Media Hub and Wi-Fi.
