Brenner's Parksalon: Lounge for exquisite Cigar Enjoyment

04.03.2010

The new Parksalon at Brenner's Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden is entirely devoted to the cultivated enjoyment of cigars.

Those who savour cigars are generally connoisseurs, who enjoy fine food just as much as a good cognac, rum or wine. For aficionados, who place value on a corresponding ambiente and undisturbed communication together with a cigar, Brenner's Park-Hotel & Spa has now set up a special room. Frank Marrenbach, the managing-director of Brenner's Park-Hotel & Spa: "savouring a good cigar is not simply a tradition, it possesses cultural value and thus must be assigned a place of its own and the proper room in our House, a Grand Hotel of the luxury class."

The new Cigar Lounge's concept was devised by Laura Chavin, who here just like at her company headquarters at Schloss Hochdorf has created a place of encounter for all those, who understand relaxation, enjoyment, culture and tradition as aspects of the quality of life.

The Parksalon is centred around the humidor developed by Laura Chavin Cigars (LCC), in which cigars - just like a good wine - mature and grow in quality over the years. It is the first humidor to be fitted with an electronic self-monitoring system, which controls, steers and regulates the humidor in such a way that a perfect climate is assured everywhere in it. Otherwise this is only possible in accessible climate chambers belonging to specialist shops. Here the cigar buff can choose from the precious and exquisite collection during his visit and furthermore he can store his own treasured cigars as a regular patron.

The Cigar Lounge's interior was created by Bergit Gräfin Douglas. The interior designer explains: "as the Parksalon is open to the bon vivant during the days as well in contrast to established bars, it is kept in light, fresh shades". Various suites of furniture are grouped around the central safe, which induce people to savour the "brown gold" or perhaps to read a book from the library installed in the room. The guest is connected with the Barkeeper by a bell from each of the suites, who then serves him the drinks he wants corresponding with his cigar.

If desired the gentleman is provided with a smoking jacket. In this way Brenner's Park-Hotel & Spa reverts back to the tradition that the gentleman protects his clothes from smoke by donning a comfortable jacket, while also underlining the room's private character.
As a consequence the lifestyle practised in the new Parksalon is both devoted to the enjoyment of cigars as well as to the friendly, seemingly private ambiente, cultivated drinks, high-class relaxation and stylish exchange among kindred spirits - guests geared towards enjoyment.
