Brenners Park-Restaurant ranks among Germany’s top 40 restaurants

30-03-2011

Having gained a second Michelin star, Brenners Park-Restaurant won a further coveted award this winter: With a score of 86.8 points out of 100 in the Hornstein-Ranking 2011, the gourmet restaurant of Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden claimed its place among the 40 best German restaurants for the discerning diner.

Even though Brenners Park-Restaurant is used to receiving high praise from its clientele, its Head Chef Andreas Krolik and Restaurant Manager Josef Breitenfellner are, along with their teams, particularly thrilled to see their hard work rewarded in this way: “The ranking of 150 best restaurants provides guests with a simple and easy overview of the gastronomic scene. We are proud to have improved even more since the last classification took place.”

Due to its compact nature the Hornstein-Ranking is considered a particularly useful tool for gourmets. It was first put together in 1981 by star chef and hotelier Wolf von Hornstein (1918-2008), which means that this classic among gastronomy rankings is now celebrating its 30th anniversary.

The rating scheme is based on the evaluations of well-known guides like Michelin, Gault Millau, Varta, Schlemmer Atlas and Feinschmecker, which scrutinise not only what the kitchen has to offer, but also take a critical look at ambience, service and innovation.
