Frank Marrenbach Becomes Vice Chairman of The Leading Hotels of the World Ltd.

For the first time in its history, the world-leading alliance of luxury hotels, The Leading Hotels of the World Ltd., now has a German vice chairman: At the organisation’s annual convention in Tokyo, Frank Marrenbach (44), Managing Director of Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, was elected to support the chairman of the executive committee.

The new chairman is Andrea Kracht, who takes over from Jean-Jacques Gauer. Andrea Kracht is the sixth-generation owner of Zurich's Hotel Baur au Lac, which has been a member of The Leading Hotels of the World since 1974.

The Leading Hotels of the World Ltd. is the prestigious luxury hospitality organization representing the world’s finest hotels, spas and resorts that are committed to highest quality standards. Almost 450 renowned hotels with more than 85,000 rooms in 80 countries are gathered under this brand. From January to October 2010 The Leading Hotels of the World Ltd. generated a turnover of US$462 million, a 15% increase compared to the same period of last year. The turnover target for 2010 is US$553 million; the total for 2009 had been US$486 million.
